I first spoke with Destiny at the call center. She was very good. When I got to the place I was attended by Jen. She is excellent. I almost didn't commit cuz the 1st callback was from cathy. She was pushy and when we met in person she was cold and unfriendly, but Jen made my visit worthwhile. I plan on getting a 2nd unit now.

Jenn went above and beyond to help me find the perfect unit for my needs and explained everything clearly. It’s not often you come across such great customer service these days. This review is based solely on my interaction with Kathy and not the business in general. Kathy was very knowledgeable and nice. Check in was a smooth process. As for Smart Stop in general, I'm not a fan of the way they run their business. After 30 days, they can raise your rent 4 times as much as your original agreement with only a notice in the mail. So if you have issues with your mail like I do, your out of luck because they won't notify you any other way. In my eyes, that's not doing good business. But the front desk lady (Kathy) service was great.

1- Star Review :Horrible Experience- Rat- infested & unhelpful staff I had the absolute worst experience with this storage facility. We rented a unit here to store some of my mom’s belongings that died of breast cancer last march, and when we went to check on them , we were horrified to find that the place was completely infected with rats. Not only were there droppings everywhere, but many of my mom’s sentimental items were damaged beyond repair. Furniture that I was going to gift my brother ruined family heirloom completely ruined. I tried to reach out to the staff, hoping they would help or at least compensate for the damage, or even clean up the dead rat in our storage unit and droppings and pay to hual away our mom damaged property. Instead they were completely unresponsive and dismissive. If felt like they didn’t care at all about the situation or the loss we experienced. No apology, no offer to fix the issue, nothing. All I was left with was a threat to clean out the storage unit myself or they will keep charging me for the storage unit and hauling fee to haul my mom damaged belongings /furniture away. I was left in tears and a bill and my health being at risk going through the storage fill with a dead rat and dropping everywhere trying to keep what I could of my moms stuff. I can’t believe they let a place this unsanitary and unsafe be open for business. PLEASE DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND FIND A MORE PROFESSIONAL STORAGE FACILITY- THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!!! Absolutely awful experience. I would give zero/ negative stars if I could. They took my money and wasted my time while disrespecting me and my mom’s memory.
