I've had such an incredibly positive experience with Mini U Storage in Melbourne over the past 11 months, and I can't recommend them highly enough. My 10x10 indoor unit was exactly what I needed, and at the time, it cost me around $120 a month (after pro-ration from two months free). The service truly sets them apart at the time. The employee I worked with was exceptionally resourceful and went above and beyond to ensure I got the absolute best deal available, even taught me some “hacks” to benefit from company policies. They were instrumental in helping me take full advantage of their two months free promotion, which they offer every summer. One of the most impressive benefits Mini U Storage provides, and something truly unique compared to most other storage facilities, is the option to rate-lock your price for an entire year by calling their corporate office. This provided invaluable peace of mind, knowing my rate wouldn't unexpectedly increase. Their moving truck rental service was another huge plus. For a $29 flat rate, $19 for insurance cost is gas, mileage is free for 50 miles, or even potentially feee for moving in (they wave the $29) it was incredibly convenient and saved me a lot of hassle with uhauls during my move-in. Overall, my 11 months with Mini U Storage in Melbourne have been an absolute pleasure. The combination of excellent pricing, valuable promotions, and truly helpful staff made it a genuinely stress-free and positive experience. Con: The units are a bit older, the AC units probably stay about 77-80 during the summer. The truck was a bit old but only had 47k miles on it.. the indoor units always smelled like bug poison/pest prevention… but that isn’t necessarily bad thing because I never saw a bug in my unit.. bittersweet
