from the beginning it was easy starting with dee on the kiosk to help from megan there at firdt-day move-in. convenience would be a good buzzword. a simple thing like having a unique code for the gate is so nice(one less maybe-odd number to remember)
Happy with this storage facility
Very Clean place , easy to get to my unit , safe , people are friendly.
It was very easy to rent, and then to move into. I had learned that I had a small unit and needed a larger one a couple of days later staff was able to help me with everything.
Would have much preferred dealing with someone in person and not thru a kiosk. I don’t think that’s the proper way to conduct business. Also, I was locked inside the gates because the code I was issued did not work. It took me 5 phone calls and 45 minutes of sitting before someone answered the phone. I was given an emergency code to get out. Later in the day, I did get a follow up phone call from the actual site, apologizing and he assured me my code now works.
It’s crazy how much this place charges and how much it has gone up since we got a unit. Yet they seem to skimp on the maintenance. The desk people were great since we joined. The day we joined is really the only time we ever saw them again. For months like other people have mentioned the gate just stays open 24/7. They fixed it and then it only lasted a few weeks before we started seeing it open again. As of today Jan 31st 2026 it’s open. After the storm my wife needed a few things. The place was plowed but whatever company they used blocked all the entrance’s to indoor. Like up to the middle of the door not just like a foot. By this point the snow was packed and almost solid. She finally found one door that looked like someone dug their way through. But there was still a lot of snow she had to get over and not work her way out while carrying the things she needed and almost slipped on some ice that was right past the snow and almost fell. If this place doesn’t start taking better care of the property we may just leave our unit and find another. It’s a shame because this one is right on our road. But I rather drive a little more for more service and I can’t see where my money goes. Look around before you make a decision on a location. Ask lots of questions about their maintenance and property upkeep.
If you value clear communication, predictable expenses, and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend steering clear of Prime Storage—not just this location, but any facility under their operation. Let this serve as a warning: demand higher standards and accountability from those you trust with your business. As a business owner, I depend on reliable and transparent services to keep operations running smoothly. My recent experience with Prime Storage on Route 376 in Wappingers Falls, NY, fell far short of those expectations, and I urge others to avoid this facility and any Prime Storage property. After Prime Storage took over from Guardian Storage, service quality declined sharply. We encountered unexplained rental rate hikes and added insurance charges, even though our business already had coverage. Staff responses to these changes were vague and unsatisfactory, offering no legitimate reasons or required documentation for policy changes—just unclear references to their internal processes. Transparency was lacking throughout my dealings with Prime Storage. Requests for legal documentation about price changes and for contact information for upper management were denied. The company’s structure makes it difficult to identify or reach anyone accountable, heightening concerns about their business practices. Attempts to resolve the situation through professional dialogue were met with resistance, unclear answers, and a refusal to connect me with decision-makers or provide legally required notifications. This eroded any remaining trust in the company’s integrity. Whether an individual or a business—seeking a trustworthy, professional storage provider should look elsewhere. Prime Storage has demonstrated a clear lack of transparency, accountability, and customer service, making them an unreliable choice for your storage needs. Choose a company that values open communication and ethical business practices instead.
Excellent service from the beginning to the end. Michelle was wonderful and friendly. Made storage so easy. No underlying charges. So easy to sign up. During the winter everything was accessible. They maintain a clean property. I would go no where else. Customer service is their priority
At one of my darkest times i couldn't have picked a better place to visit. Michelle not only has the perfect name but her ability to listen to whatever it may be and make you feel heard is incredible. Prime got lucky with her.
Very disappointing company & facility. From the inception I signed up for auto payment. They did not withdraw and charged me a late fee and it took forever to get it returned. The actual property is not kept well. Back in the summer the lawn wasn't done for a month. The property looked abandoned along with the gates being opened then as well. They took away the insurance that comes with it and also raised our fees. The gate has been opened almost since the beginning. It was only closed for a month or so. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen if somebody gets injured in there or robbed or worse. There's no way to account for anybody going in and out of that place. My work hours are unusual and numerous times I saw a large trucks coming in and out of there. You won't know if that's a moving company or if you're being robbed. The winter snow removal was atrocious and there was so much ice in front of the door as well as the parking lot for the temperature controlled units that they had cones in front of the door. I was unable to get my belongings during my move for a week. However they're the first to charge you a late fee. 20%. And I'm pretty darn sure that the temperature control units the temperature is now lower. I've been in there 6 years with Guardian never once did I ever have a problem. Now there's mice in the unit I had to have the property manager come and get it out. On a more pleasant note the girls at the front desk are kind but I know their hands are tied. And I've been informed they've had numerous complaints and that I shouldn't worry that we are in a safe neighborhood. That doesn't excuse the gates being open for 9 months. We are the community that they service and service poorly. From where I stand it looks like the company doesn't have money to get the proper plows, proper salting, landscaping, etc. They have you over a barrel because so much changed it's hard to just pick up and move to another storage facility. My advice if you could afford to get your stuff out of there run for the hills
